Remember: YOUR SKIN IS AN ORGAN. It
is self basting from the inside and has a hydration system far more
complicated then the biggest and most expensive ECO system in the
world!
Your skin knows how to hydrate itself. The protein that your
skin secretes is worth millions and can never be massed produced or
duplicated or replaced.
It can be mimicked though through bio-identical
compounding. Your skin knows how to surge an abundent supply of
collagen and the secret to stopping the aging process is to fool the
skin into secreting an abundent supply of protein by excelling the New
SkinCell Turnover Rate.
Our skin turns over on its own every 27-30
days or so. The secret to stopping the aging process is to repeat that
cycle (the correct way) 1 more time. The secret to reversing the aging
process is to repeat the cycle 2 or more times. Now, the question is:
How do you do it the RIGHT way?
"What is a HOT PEEL?"A 'hot peel' in the industry is defined as a peel that causes TRAUMA to the upper epidermis and stratum layer.
"Is it true a HOT PEEL will cause the skin to age faster?" Although
it may not seem like it at the time you finish from one of these peels,
Yes. If your skin spends more time healing from a caustic chemical peel
then it does peeling, then your skin will show faster signs of aging
then if you had never done the peel. You see, the purpose of a peel is
to turn the skin over in its cycle. The whole purpose of the peel is to
FOOL the skin into surging the surface cells with repair-itive proteins.
You aren't suppose to actually HAVE a wound from your peel because
those protein bands end up HEALING the skin instead of nourishing the
new growth.
You actually end up where you started, or worse. The amount
of protein you will secrete to heal a bad TCA or Glyolic burn is
usually a 3 month supply. Doing these hot peels often can actually burn
and/or damage the glands that hold these proteins within the folicle
wall. When you deplete this source, your skin will not hydrate itself
much like the skin of someone 80 years old. Only about 20% of aesthetic centers offer this type of service. You must
realize that Skin Care is a multi Billion dollar industry.
There is
money in the treatment, not the cure. Most products out there are so
deficient in actual usable ingredients, that you only see a glimmer of
hope after each use. Well, that glimmer is what keeps you coming back
for more and more. Finally, your skin will stop reacting to it because
your skin acclimates to the acidity or protein. Remember too that pure
protein used in skin care is very expense. Industry uses fillers and
thickeners that are cheap and essentially useless to fill up a 5 oz.
bottle that contains about 1 gram of real protein. Your skin has no way
to harvest the protein because the other 30 ingredients like fragrance
and parabens are not bioidentical to your skin. It would be like eating
a plastic bag that contained 1 leaf of lettuce.
You are consuming a lot
of nothing to aquire a very little amount of something. The plastic bag
represents ingredients that your skin cannot register or identify with,
while the leaf of lettuce is what your skin craves. Poly and Methyl
Parabens are approved preservatives that are compounded into cosmetics
and skincare products in order for a large company to be able to mass
produce without any fear of expiration. Any product that is worth
applying to your skin should not contain preservatives.
Your skin has
no way to metabolize these ingredients. Like oil and water do not mix,
your skins naturally occuring DNA will not accept synthetic
preservative. What happens next is mind blowing: Take for example
ANTI-AGING CREAM. The most expensive cream on the market contains
enough parabens to keep it sitting in a warehouse for up to 7 years
without the active protein either rotting, drying out or becoming
acidic.
When you apply these 'anti-aging' creams onto your skin, your
own DNA secretions which are comprised of collagen, elastin, oil, sebum
(good), melanin, protein and collagen bands, etc. begin to retreat
deeper into the epidermis in order to preserve the supply.
What are the benefits of Hyaluronic Protein? TOPICAL products will not work like injectible filler. You
cannot get topical HYALURONIC acid into a nasal labial fold. However,
you can get it a full micron under live skin growth by compressing with
it. Hyaluronic protein at this strength is thick and pure protein so NO
preservative or parabens interrupt the process.
Much like a nicotine
patch or birthcontrol patch can pass into the skin, liposomes work
similar (not blood born). Example: When you take a long bath and soak,
your fingers prune. If you tried to pick the skin..you could remove it
painlessly.
In about 20 minutes post bath, you will notice your finger
is sore where pulled the skin off! Suddenly it hurts where before you
felt nothing as it looked like dead skin! Through "pruning" (actually
called infusion) during the bath, water entered into the live epidermis
and flooded the oil glands and once the water drys, your oil glands and
sensitivity return.
This is the same concept of applying Hyaluronic
Protein in compress form. It is not a moistuizer. It is a
*bio-identical protein that your skin can metabolise without
interrupting your natural occuring enzymes. Your body contains
hyaluronic acid so your skin recognizes the structure of it and you oil
and natural dna mix well with it. Hyaluronic Acid is the only protein
used in opthamalogy where it is used in this form and structure to heal
inner eye damage.

Acne Vulgaris
Acne bacteria exists on everyone’s skin and it is presumed to make some
symbiotic contribution to the skin, though the details of its benefits
are unknown. In of itself, acne is not a bad thing. Problems arise,
however, when acne bacteria is allowed to reproduce freely on the skin.
Under normal conditions, the skin’s acidic pH will limit the growth of
many bacteria, including acne. But if pH levels increase slightly,
closer to 7 (neutral pH), the skin will have lost all of its ability to
prevent an overrun of bacterial and fungal growth. With acne bacteria
reproducing as fast as there is sebum to feed it, open pores now become
prime candidates for infection.
How does a pimple form?
The sebaceous glands produce sebum (often in excess during the summer months) which then bonds with nearby dead skin cells. The resulting substance can readily plug pores, much like a cork to a wine bottle. If acne bacteria
has been allowed to reproduce without restriction, there is a high
likelihood some of it will have been trapped in the pore. Since acne
feeds off of skin oils, it begins to replicate within the sebaceous
gland. The growing number of acne bacteria in the clogged pore then
triggers an immune response, and white blood cells rush to the clogged
pore to kill off the bacteria. This immune response is what is
responsible for the inflammation, or pimple, that is visible to the
naked eye.

What can I do about acne infection?
It’s imperative to keep your skin away from alkaline substances like
common soaps (check for active ingredients like sodium carbonate or
sodium palmitate) and detergents. Cleanse your face and body with
pH-balancing products like KAVI Cleansing Bars and make sure to wash
your clothes with a pH-neutral laundry product like all-natural,
bio-degradable KAVI Laundry Cleanser. Remember, the preservation of the
skin’s hydrolipidic layer is your first line of defense against acne infection.
Can what I eat have an impact on my acne?
Despite all modern wisdom asserting the contrary, diet can have a
significant impact on your skin’s likelihood to become inflamed and
irritated. If anything, some people have allergies to certain foods and
are unable to properly metabolize certain substances. It is important
to determine if you have any sensitivities to certain foods. Though
each person is different, there are a growing number of cases where
people are unable to properly break down ingested animal fats. In those
cases, it is believed some of the undigested animal fat is expelled by
the body through the skin. This fat has a much higher tendency to clog
pores than sebum. The most problematic foods have been red meat, pork,
and whole milk. It is recommended you give up these foods for 2 weeks
to determine whether your acne improves. It may be hard to give up
hamburgers, bacon, and pepperoni pizza, but that’s a choice you need to
make for yourself.
There are so many acne solutions out on the market. Do they all work?
It seems every year the number of people suffering from acne
increases. The segment of the skincare market devoted exclusively to
acne treatment has burgeoned into a billion dollar business. And
unfortunately, those seeking a cure are more than willing to throw good
money after bad in the hope that the next "cure" will be legitimate.
There are countless products out there and many of them just don’t
work.
Of all the solutions available on the market today, there are a handful
of substances able to create some statistically significant impact on
the effects of acne. Though these substances are not equally effective,
they are the only ones out there which can make any difference at all.
Remember, acne infections are a result of excess sebum, dead skin
cells, and abundant acne bacteria on the skin. If a product doesn’t
serve to curb any of these three elements, then it probably doesn’t
work.
Skin Care and Why It's Important
The importance of skin care
cannot be underestimated. Did you know, for example, that the skin is
the largest organ of the human body? Mostly we take our skin very much
for granted and don't spend much time thinking about the skin’s
functions and their importance, until some problem occurs or we injure
ourselves.
Our skin’s functions are too many to go through
here in detail, however it protects our ‘insides’ from the external
environment, acting both as a barrier and a filter between ‘outside’
and ‘inside’ our bodies.
The skin helps in regulating our body’s
temperature, like when we have a fever or we’re physically working
hard, we tend to sweat, which is the body’s way to lower the
temperature.
The skin also protects us from harmful substances
entering our body, and it eliminates many toxins introduced through
ingestion or even via the skin itself. This takes workload off our
Liver and Kidneys to filter out by-products from our body’s metabolism.
The skin also breathes and plays a major role in our immune system!
These
are just some of the important functions of our skin and as you can
see, looking after your skin is vital, not just for your outer beauty,
but for maintaining your inner health and well being. Now there is skin care and there is skin care...
Boy!
Is this term over used or what? Skin care this and skin care that.
Every day we hear about some new ingredient and how it will make your
skin look 20 years younger in seconds.....
Well, we all
(hopefully) wash our body (skin) every day and we may even rub some
expensive cream on our bodies, and that is pretty much that, thinking
it will be good for our skin. Women (most) go one step further when
they make-up their face. Often using a cleanser and then a moisturizer
before applying make-up. But is that really skin care?
I think
not. I would consider it an assault on the skin rather than caring for
it. You see, most of the products marketed to women are full of
artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, stabilizers, emulsifiers and
other chemical compounds, which are supposed to help in achieving a
‘beautiful complexion’, but actually do nothing of the sort.
Some
products are advertising hormones, which are supposed to make your skin
re-gain that youthful (no wrinkles) look – but more often than not
these ‘hormones’ are artificial or synthetic and may well cause
problems with the hormonal balance of the body. This is NOT Skin care –
this is plain old manipulation and marketing, based on our vanity.
Real
skin care is much more than that and is more than just skin deep. Your
skin is a living, breathing organ of your body. As such, just like
every other organ in our body, it needs to be fed from the inside – it
requires nutrients.
There are 4 basic ingredients to feeding the inside:
Good
nutrition: keep it simple, fresh and unprocessed. That is the best
nutritional advice I can give. The simpler the food, the less
processing and the fresher your food is, the better it is for you.
Fresh fruit and vegetables contain so many of the nutrients we need to
maintain our health. Sure have the odd processed, high in fat meal when
you’re enjoying a meal out or have to attend a Luncheon or what ever.
But make sure you have more natural foods than not. Keep the diet
varied – don’t eat the same old, same old… risk a new veggie – one you
haven’t tried before – you might like it …
Adequate rest and
relaxation: don’t work yourself to an early grave – it’s not worth it.
Make sure you get the sleep you need. Did you know that a study in
England showed that your IQ (intelligence) drops if you do not have 8
hours sleep per night? Think about it, do you get more work done if you
feel well rested? Can you concentrate better if you’re not tired? – I
bet you can.
Well, why not invest some additional time into rest
and relaxation so that you gain an increase in energy and
concentration? I’m sure you will find you will get more work done in
less time if you’ve had sufficient rest.
Sufficient water
intake: that’s a big one. Most people (irrespective of were they live)
will utilize around 3 liters of water per day – hey, don’t believe me,
all the medical texts say so. Our body simply needs water to function.
Water is necessary to keep cells from dehydrating, to help in
eliminating toxins from the body - you know, if your urine is dark and
smelly that you have to drink more water, right? Well, that is just one
sign of not drinking enough water and many more are not as obvious
until it is too late.
If you do not drink at least 3 liters of
water per day, every day, your body will either not function well (on
some level) or it will take it from where ever it can. That is called
dehydration. You know, dark urine, dry lips, dry flaky skin, parched
mouth, cracks on you tongue, premature wrinkles… the list goes on. So,
drink up (water, mind you) or shrivel up – it’s up to you.
Fresh
air and sunshine: well, what can I say. Taking a deep breath of air and
tell me it doesn’t feel great… Well? Oxygen is the stuff of life. Fill
your lungs with it. Here I could go into how most of us do not know how
to breath properly, but I have already written about it in a previous
article.
So what does all this have to do with skin care?
Well,
that is the point of putting expensive, beauty products on your skin,
when you do not give it the stuff of life from the inside? The cells
that make up your skin need the right nutrients for proper development,
growth and all that… You can help your skin by using good quality skin
care products, but you have to support this from the inside as well.
Only in that way can you expect to get good results from proper skin
care.
So what’s proper skin care?
Well, for starters there are 3 basic steps.
1. Cleanse and Condition
2. Hydrate and Tone
3. Moisturize and Revive.
