A CIT can be performed on ALL skin areas of your body. Unlike ablative procedures a CIT can be performed repeatedly.

Depending on your skin condition, and to achieve maximum possible results, we recommend an initial treatment cycle of 3 to 4 treatments. As the new collagen formation needs time to mature, we propose an interval of 6 weeks before the next CIT is commenced. As your skin continues to age an annual refresher CIT should be considered.

ANAIS vitamin C is the only topical that is (and should be applied) following dermaroller.

Also, this should be left on to penetrate into the skin. It is best to stay out of any polluted environments during this time also (such as outside in heavy traffic areas or around smoke).

Dont be tempted to wash the topical off the skin too soon. Best if left after treatment and overnight.

Note: i am talking of professionally done dermaroller, not home dermaroller..but although home dermarolling is not as deep i am sure vitamin c serum would still be the recommended topical.

It is well known that only a small percentage of the active ingredients in skin creams penetrate the outer layer (epidermis) of the skin and reach the middle (dermal) layer where they are required to produce an effect.
 
The Dermaroller is a unique rolling micro-needling system that significantly enhances the penetration of skin creams and serums.
 
How It Works
The Dermaroller is CE approved as a medical device and is a barrel-like roller incorporating 192 micro-needles. These needles are so fine and short that they only penetrate into the top layers of the skin.

This Dermaroller is normally used at night where the micro points of the Dermaroller create tiny infiltration channels through the skin surface (the stratum corneum) that remain open for less than an hour with the following benefits:
  • Compared with applying creams and serums alone, the micro-points help with the absorption and infiltration of active substances 100 to 200 times more effectively.
  • More active ingredients in the skin means that creams and serums applied should be more effective resulting in improved skin quality.
The advantages of skin treatment using the Dermaroller are many:

Warning

It has been scientifically proven: Although we do not know exactly how the needles of the Derma roller induce such a dramatic amount of collagen in a short session that only lasts 20 to 30 minutes. But we have scientific proof that the needling procedure triggers new collagen fibres, new melanozyts, stimulates re-vas-cularization, hair growth even in scars (Camirand), re-pigments stretch marks, fills depressed acne scars, softens scars and so on.

This model is designed to induce the body's own production of collagen. Its needles have a length of 1.0-1.5 mm and according to the applied pressure they penetrate the skin from 0.1 to 1.3 mm.


The needles induce body own collagen (CIT) in deeper skin layers to strengthen the connective tissue and to minimize the typical "orange-skin-appearance". It is equipped with 192 stainless steel needles in 8 rows. Needle diameter: 0.25 mm. The model has a width of 20 mm.


Rolling the cylinder on the skin surface creates even deeper micro-channels on the whole epidermis and dermis. At the same time, these longer needles will destroy scar collagen bundles, atrophic stretch marks or cellulites bundles (orange skin).
