It
is well known that only a small percentage of the active ingredients
in skin creams penetrate the outer layer (epidermis) of the skin and
reach the middle (dermal) layer where they are required to produce an
effect.
The Dermaroller is a unique rolling micro-needling system that significantly enhances the penetration of skin creams and serums.
How It Works
The Dermaroller
is CE approved as a medical device and is a barrel-like roller
incorporating 192 micro-needles. These needles are so fine and short
that they only penetrate into the top layers of the skin.
This Dermaroller is normally used at night where the micro points of the Dermaroller
create tiny infiltration channels through the skin surface (the stratum
corneum) that remain open for less than an hour with the following
benefits:

Compared with applying creams and serums alone, the micro-points
help with the absorption and infiltration of active substances 100 to
200 times more effectively.

TREATMENT RESULTS OF STRETCH MARKS
Stretch
marks or striae are caused by skin stretching during rapid growth in
puberty and pregnancy. About 80% of all pregnant women are experiencing
striae. This over stretching results in skin ruptures that finally
transform into scars. New stretch marks appear like reddish to purple
irregular lines and gradually fade to white or silverish color, and
they are permanent. By touching they appear softer than the surrounding
tissue. Glucocorticoid hormones are responsible for striae. They
prevent the transformation of fibroblasts into collagen- and elastin
fibers.
Although
striae do not compromise the bodys function, in many cases striae can
be an aesthetic disfigurement and may often lead into psychological
depressions.
So far the cure of stretch marks has been very difficult, and the improvement with creams or laser is very limited.
Based
on the fact that the Dermaroller's Microneedling stimulates cell
regeneration and proliferation of fibroblasts in a dramatic amount,
several physicians started in 2007 to use the Dermaroller to treat
stretch marks. The results were beyond expectations and on a recent
symposium Dr. Scalvini, Milano University in Italy, predicted that Dermarolling stretch marks will
result in a success rate of 80 to 90%.

Rolling the
cylinder on the skin surface creates even deeper micro-channels on the
whole epidermis and dermis. At the same time, these longer needles will
